Aseer Province Municipality joined SADAD on 21 June 2009, to enable the citizens pay service fees and irregularities easily and quickly across all bank channels in various parts of the Kingdom in order to achieve the highest level of services to citizens and reduce the number of procedures.

After the issuance of the secretariat of the capital and the municipalities in 1357 H, the formation of Abha Municipality was formally issued in 1358 H. It is considered one of the oldest municipalities in the Kingdom, and in 15/07/1426 a decision from the Minister of Municipal and Rural Affairs was issued containing the amendment of Abha Municipality to Aseer Province Municipality. Aseer Province Municipality provide municipal services to the city of Abha and its vicinities in addition to the supervision and follow-up to the municipalities and village clusters in the Aseer region linked by a number (24) Municipality and village clusters in addition to the five branches serving the suburbs of the city of Abha.
