
The General Organization for Social Insurance (GOSI) joined Sadad payment system on 30 May 2009, to facilitate the subscriptions Payments of the members (Individual or Corporate) easily and quickly across all bank channels in various parts of the Kingdom in order to provide an integrated electronic service.
The Social Insurance Law issued under the Royal Decree No. M/22 dated 06/09/1389 H. The General Organization for Social Insurance (GOSI) was established to apply social insurance rules and implement its regulation, particularly, concerning achieving the lawfully social coverage, collecting contributions from employers and paying benefits to entitled insured persons or their family members. GOSI is a semi-state body that has its independent financial and administrative entity supervised by a board of directors consisting of eleven members. Activities of GOSI are practiced within its Head Office and twenty field offices distributed all over the Kingdom's provinces and districts. The Social Insurance Law is a form of social solidarity and cooperation that the society provides for its citizens and provides social protection to the private sector workers as well as a category of workers in the public sector in order to provide a good life for the workers and their families after termination of employment due to retirement, disability or death. It also provides medical care for occupational injuries and diseases as well as the required compensations in case of occupational disability or death.
