Mobily joined SADAD’s billers on the 14th of April, preceding the launch of Mobily services to consumers. This will facilitate the operations of bill payments related to those services. Mobily offer all its product through SADAD, where it present all its postpaid bills and receive payments from its customers through the banking channels solely through SADAD (in addition to its collection centers), and also use SADAD for it prepaid products where customers only need to enter their mobile phone numbers and the required amount to be charged to the phone and it recharges automatically without having to enter any codes in the mobile phone as people are used to. Mobily is using SADAD as one of the cheapest channels to distribute its prepaid service all over the kingdom.
SADAD was established by the Saudi Arabian Monetary Agency (SAMA) to be the national Electronic Bill Presentment and Payment (EBPP) service provider for the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA). The core mandate for SADAD is to facilitate and streamline bill payment transactions of end consumers through all channels of the Kingdom’s Banks. SADAD aims to link all the banks and billers in the Kingdom in the near future.
