SADAD has successfully conducted a simulation of a disaster recovery situation by switching over SADAD’s applications to the Disaster Recovery Site on one day and then switching them back to its Main Center the next day. This demonstrates SADAD’s ability to face certain disaster situations which will raise confidence in its services to the banks and billers.

The Disaster Recovery Site is located in a different location of the main data center in case of any interruption happening to the main building.

The DR site is ready to take over all business functions of the main site, and all IT systems supporting a business function, to a state of normal operation; it is designed to provide immediate response and subsequent recovery from a disaster which renders the Tawaren Centre, SADAD Offices or Data Centre. The SADAD Service Recovery Team will use this site and the associated plan to respond to any short or long-term interruption to SADAD’s essential IT systems and services.
