SADAD Payment System was softly launched on October 3rd, 2004 with one bank and two billers. The main focus of this launch was to test the system stability and performance before integrating all the banks and the large billers. SADAD is working closely with all the Saudi banks to finalize their integration activities, where all banks are required to be linked with SADAD by end of 2005.
SADAD was established by the Saudi Arabian Monetary Agency (SAMA) to be the national Electronic Bill Presentment and Payment (EBPP) service provider for the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA). The core mandate for SADAD is to facilitate and streamline bill payment transactions of end consumers through all channels of the Kingdom’s Banks. SADAD aims to link all the banks and billers in the Kingdom in the near future.
